2月27日，《纽约时报》按照惯例从纸质和线上内容呈现过的上万张插图中，评选出了2019年度值得特别注意的最佳插画作品。

作为历史长达169年的美国主流媒体之一，《纽约时报》坚持与行业内最先锋的插画师们合作，邀请他们为观点与评论性文章创作原创插画，无论是基于互动网页的体验还是专栏文章，插画总是在其中扮演着别具一格的角色。

插画师们被要求提炼故事中的亮点，并以机智和感性的方式处理话题，为读者传递情感、为思考创造空间、为复杂又熟悉的主题增加深度，也为公众提供新的视角去看待事物。这些插画或许让人大笑，或许让人深思，又或者给人们在忙碌的一天中带来片刻的平静。

本届评选共有70余位来自全球各地的插画师创作的优秀作品入选，其中不乏来自中国的作品。除传统插画以外，还有来自数字艺术领域和动态设计类的创作。以下是所有获选作品：
